Explore Old Town Fairfax

Join our Fairfax Community and OSG Peers for a trip to Old Town Fairfax!  This unique part of town is created through a hand-selected mix of retailers & restaurants, intelligent urban design and a passion for enabling authentic community engagement.

To prepare: -Food/drink: We highly encourage bringing a water bottle and a snack but if you like there are plenty of food options in Old Town Fairfax just be sure to bring a form of payment.

Meet up: We will meet at the fountain off of North Street out front of the Common Culture Coffee. There is plenty of parking in the Fairfax Public Parking Deck at 3955 Chain Bridge Road.

Weather Cancellation: In case of unsafe weather conditions, an announcement will be made on WhatsApp at least 2 hours prior to the start of the outdoor event.

Contact: We will communicate changes of plans and important updates via WhatsApp. If you are not yet in our OSG WhatsApp Events group, you can join via the link that will be sent to your email with your registration confirmation.

Accommodations: At OSG, our staff are not direct service providers, so we ask that each participant attending an event brings any personal support they may need for their well-being and engagement. This may include, but is not limited to, caregivers, communication partners, or mobility aids. That said, with prior notice, we can arrange group-wide accommodations during event planning. These might include ensuring wheelchair-accessible routes or selecting allergen-safe menus. Additional accommodations are available upon request, though they may not be listed here. To discuss your specific needs and help us make our events more inclusive, please contact us at [email protected] with the subject line “Accommodation Request.”

Disclaimer: Please Note during community outings, participants may choose as a group—or individually—to stop at a café, restaurant, or other business for a snack or beverage. These stops are informal, optional, and decided in the moment based on the group’s interests. Purchasing food or drinks is never required, and OSG staff cannot predict or control when or where these stops may occur. Participants with food allergies, dietary restrictions, or other related needs should plan accordingly and bring any necessary snacks, medications, or supports.

*Note: Sign-up is mandatory. Be sure to RSVP so we know to expect you.
