Join our Arden community and OSG peers for a trip to explore the National Museum of American History in DC!
To prepare:
-Public transport: If you’re taking the metro, please remember to bring your SmarTrip Card, or your Metro Access Card and a government ID. Alternatively, you can bring cash/debit/credit card and purchase a roundtrip pass.
-Food/drink: We highly encourage bringing a water bottle and a snack
Meet up: We will meet outside of the Arden at 11am before heading out to the museum via the Huntington Metro. If going to the museum directly, plan on meeting us at the entrance at 12pm. If you arrive late, please message the OSG Events WhatsApp group to determine where we currently are.
Weather Cancellation: In case of unsafe weather conditions, an announcement will be made on Whatsapp at least 2 hours prior to the start of the outdoor event.
Contact: We will communicate changes of plans and important updates via WhatsApp. If you are not yet in our OSG WhatsApp Events group, you can join via the link that will be sent to your email with your registration confirmation.
Accommodations: At OSG, our staff are not direct service providers, so we ask that each participant attending an event brings any personal support they may need for their well-being and engagement. This may include, but is not limited to, caregivers, communication partners, or mobility aids. That said, with prior notice, we can arrange group-wide accommodations during event planning. These might include ensuring wheelchair-accessible routes or selecting allergen-safe menus. Additional accommodations are available upon request, though they may not be listed here. To discuss your specific needs and help us make our events more inclusive, please contact us at [email protected] with the subject line “Accommodation Request.”
*Note: Sign-up is mandatory. Be sure to RSVP so we know to expect you.
