Joey’s Walk (Roosevelt Island Clean Up)

This beautiful nature walk is a great opportunity to learn about this historical landmark, create new friendships, and protect our community.

To prepare: Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Remember to bring gloves and a trash bag if you'd like to pick up trash, but this is optional. 

Meet up: We will meet next to the parking area in front of the bridge at 10AM before heading over to the island. If you arrive late, please message the OSG Events WhatsApp group to determine where we are. 

Weather Cancellation: In case of unsafe weather conditions, an announcement will be made on WhatsApp at least 2 hours prior to the start of the outdoor event. 

Contact info: We will communicate changes of plans and important updates via WhatsApp. If you are not yet in our OSG WhatsApp group, you can join via the link that will be sent to your email with your registration confirmation.

Accommodations: At OSG, our staff are not direct service providers, so we ask that each participant attending an event brings any personal support they may need for their well-being and engagement. This may include, but is not limited to, caregivers, communication partners, or mobility aids. That said, with prior notice, we can arrange group-wide accommodations during event planning. These might include ensuring wheelchair-accessible routes or selecting allergen-safe menus. Additional accommodations are available upon request, though they may not be listed here.
