Old Town Alexandria Excursion

Our Queens Court community and OSG peers are taking the metro together and exploring the historic neighborhood of Old Town Alexandria!

Meetup: Our group will meet outside Queens Court at 10am and take the blue metro line together from the Rosslyn station to the King Street-Old Town station. If you want to meet us directly at the King-Street Old Town station, then plan to arrive there by 11am. 

To prepare: If you're taking the metro, please remember to bring your SmarTrip Card, or your Metro Access Card and a government id. Another option is to bring cash/debit/credit card and purchase a roundtrip pass. Everyone is encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle. 

Weather Cancellation: In case of unsafe weather conditions, an announcement will be made on WhatsApp at least 2 hours prior to the start of the outdoor event. 

Contact: We will communicate changes of plans and important updates via WhatsApp. If you are not yet in our OSG WhatsApp Events group, you can join via the link that will be sent to your email with your registration confirmation.

Accommodations: At OSG, our staff are not direct service providers, so we ask that each participant attending an event brings any personal support they may need for their well-being and engagement. This may include, but is not limited to, caregivers, communication partners, or mobility aids. That said, with prior notice, we can arrange group-wide accommodations during event planning. These might include ensuring wheelchair-accessible routes or selecting allergen-safe menus. Additional accommodations are available upon request, though they may not be listed here. Disclaimer: Please Note during community outings, participants may choose as a group—or individually—to stop at a café, restaurant, or other business for a snack or beverage. These stops are informal, optional, and decided in the moment based on the group’s interests. Purchasing food or drinks is never required, and OSG staff cannot predict or control when or where these stops may occur. Participants with food allergies, dietary restrictions, or other related needs should plan accordingly and bring any necessary snacks, medications, or supports.
