Quiet Open Art Studio (Sensory-Friendly)

Stop by the Belmont Robinson to enjoy enjoy a quiet, sensory-friendly open art studio. This is a calm space where you can explore art materials at your own pace and express yourself through creativity in a low-noise, relaxed environment. A peaceful atmosphere will be maintained to support comfort and focus.

To prepare:
It is advised that you wear clothes you wouldn’t mind possibly getting stained. You are also welcome to bring any personal comfort items (such as headphones, fidgets, or other supports) that help you feel at ease.

What to expect:
This session is designed to be low-sensory. Noise levels will be kept minimal, and participants are encouraged to use quiet voices and be mindful of shared space.

Meet up:
Please meet in the community room at the Waypoint. If you're not a resident, please message the OSG Events WhatsApp group so you can be let into the building.

Weather Cancellation:
In case of unsafe weather conditions, an announcement will be made on WhatsApp at least 2 hours prior to the start of the in-person event.

Parking:
Free guest parking is available both at the Waypoint and at Fairlington Presbyterian Church next door.

Accommodations:
At OSG, our staff are not direct service providers, so we ask that each participant attending an event brings any personal support they may need for their well-being and engagement. This may include, but is not limited to, caregivers, communication partners, or mobility aids. That said, with prior notice, we can arrange group-wide accommodations during event planning.
